Claude used my pipeline to find a counterexample to the Jacobian conjecture

About a month ago, I released under CC0 an implementation of a pipeline I had spent two years developing. It’s the pipeline Claude used to find the counterexample to the Jacobian conjecture. The repository history, public release, discussion with one of the original paper’s authors, and two years of development logs document the pipeline’s origin and development.

How cool is it that Claude used it on a problem this big, and that the mathematical community around this counterexample is now thinking through structures I spent years developing? What a ride.

    Honest question: are you a mathematician, and if not how do you go about verifying this type of work?

      I am a 45 year old tradesman. Where i am from you either have money for university, or you go work in the oil sands. So I went and worked in the oil sands. I always regretted my lack of education, so when AI hit the scene three years ago I went all in on an AI guided education. 3 long, obsessive years putting in the industrial tradesman hours.

      I am considered a peer by experts in a handful of physical domains. My favorite is complex systems. It's like the jack of trades of domain expertise, i can model almost anything as a complex system and find something interesting about it.

      I verify it because I understand it. Some times I make mistakes. AI are tricky. They often get one past me when I am not paying attention like I should.
